Silverstock Limited was incorporated in 1990 as an investment and management company primarily focused on the tyre industry. The primary mission of SSL is to be a leading and key player in the Pneumatic tyre market in Sri Lanka. In order to pursue this mission in 1992, SSL acquired a controlling interest in Kelani Tyres Ltd (formally Sri Lanka Tyre Corporation) under the Conversion of Public Corporations and Government Owned Business Undertaking Act No.23 of 1987.
Thereafter in 2023, SSL acquired 100% of Wheels (Pvt) Ltd, established and leading tyre import / distribution company. Silverstock Limited operates its principal activities under two segments as the managing agent of the subsidiaries, which involves in direct imports and tyre manufacturing.
